Booking Terms and Conditions

SEWF C.I.C. (SEWF) and host SCENIC reserve the right to refuse and/or cancel bookings if the terms and conditions have not been met. This includes the right to cancel bookings after payment has been made.

Payment must be made by credit/debit card through the event registration platform, which uses Stripe to process payments. The price includes a non-refundable administration and booking fee. SEWF and SCENIC are not liable for any additional credit/debit card or bank charges you may incur, or any exchange rate differences. We are unable to accept any other method of payment.

Card payment issues

SEWF and SCENIC are unable to assist with card payment issues as these are managed by Stripe and your bank.

Ticket sharing

Ticket sharing is not permitted. If this happens, SEWF and SCENIC reserve the right to cancel the ticket with no refund.

Rural Forum

A one day pass (November 3 2025) to all Rural Forum sessions including plenary panels and breakouts. It also includes:

Meals and refreshments throughout the Forum
Marketplace and exhibition access to connect with social enterprises, NGOs and businesses
Networking opportunities with rural social enterprise leaders, practitioners and policy makers
Cultural and community engagement activities within Kota Kinabalu

Learning Visit:

A three day pass (October 31 - November 2 2025) to networking and drinks on the 31st and an immersive Learning Visit on the 2nd and 3rd in rural Sabah (Kundasang). It also includes:

Round-trip ground transportation between Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang
Comfortable accommodation in Kundasang and Kota Kinabalu
All-inclusive meals and refreshments featuring local and sustainable cuisine
Exclusive site visits to rural social enterprises, showcasing innovative community-driven solutions
Curated learning sessions on rural entrepreneurship, sustainability and social impact
Cultural immersion experiences, including interactions with Indigenous communities and local artisans
Networking opportunities with community leaders and rural changemakers

Ticket Eligibility Details

Field Trip + Forum Tickets

International Participants – Individuals or groups from different countries attending the event.
Corporate, Government, Academia – Malaysians working in corporate sectors, state or federal government, or academia within Malaysia.
SE, NGO, CSO – This category includes:
-Social Enterprises (SE) – Businesses that aim to solve social or environmental issues while remaining financially sustainable.
-Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) – Independent non-profits supporting social, environmental or humanitarian causes.
-Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) – A broad category encompassing NGOs, community groups, and social movements working to improve society.
Note: This applies to SEs, NGOs, and CSOs registered in Malaysia.
Students (Full-time & Part-time) – Students currently enrolled in universities in Malaysia.

Forum Only Ticket

Forum (International) – For international participants.
Forum (Malaysian) - Corporate, Government, Academia – For Malaysian professionals in corporate, government, or academic sectors.
Forum (Malaysian) - SE, NGO, CSO – For Malaysian participants from social enterprises, NGOs and CSOs.
Students (Full-time & Part-time) – Students currently enrolled in universities in Malaysia.

Discounts

SEWF and SCENIC work to provide tickets at a discounted price. Additional discounts include:

Early Bird: The Early Bird discount (10%) closes on 2 May at 23:59 MYT (UTC+8).

Refunds

Ticket prices include a non-refundable booking and administration fee, which includes Stripe platform fees.

Refunds are stipulated as follows:

90% refund available from 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 1 April - 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 1 September 2025
80% refund available from 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 1 September - 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 1 October 2025
0% refund from 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 1 October to Event (31 October). However, ticket swaps remain available until 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 20 October 2025, see further details below.

Ticket swaps

No ticket swaps will be permitted after 23:59 MYT (UTC+8) 20 October 2025 except for extenuating circumstances and with permission from the ticket holder identified by registered email address. To request a ticket swap, email your booking confirmation with the full name and email of the person you are transferring your ticket to larainn@scenic.my.

Recorded content

Recorded content must not be used for any other purpose other than individual personal/professional learning and it must not be distributed without SEWF’s permission.

Programme / information changes

It may be necessary, for reasons beyond the control of the organiser, to change the programme content, speakers and/or timings. SEWF and SCENIC are not liable for any changes.
