Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre (SCEIC) had organised a virtual pitch contest for the youths between 13 and 21 on June 7, 2020, and it was the first online pitch contest held in Malaysia.
It was jointly held by Ooze, Sabah Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS), Borneo Startup Community (Bosco) and MoreFun and the competition had attracted more than 100 entries.
Former KBS Minister, Phoong Jin Zhe, who officiated the event said he will always support young entrepreneurs and encourage the youths to pursue the entrepreneurial path as entrepreneurs create employment opportunities through their businesses and a better economy.
The winner of the virtual contest was a 16-year-old student, Nathan Leong Gui Xiong, who pitched “Battle Quiz-Combination of Games and Education”. Meanwhile, the most creative idea went to Teoh Ping Hong, 18, who presented “Oat Milk – The Revolution of Milk”.
